Lafayette, NJ (August 6, 2019) – It was confirmed by New Jersey State Police that a 43-year-old man from New Jersey was killed and two passengers in his vehicle severely injured on Monday night, August 6th, 2019, following a fatal crash.
The accident allegedly took place on Route 94 involving two vehicles that collided head-on. The man whose life was taken was identified as James Ziniewicz, of Newton. He was pronounced deceased around 10:30 p.m. last night when the accident took place.
New Jersey State Police said that Ziniewicz had been driving north when a southbound tow truck crossed the center line and ran into his car.
Two people in the vehicle were seriously injured, identified as a 31-year-old woman from Newton and a 33-year-old man from Hamburg. They were taken to the Morristown Medical Center for treatment for their severe medical injuries.
The 29-year-old driver of the truck sustained minor injuries. The investigation continues at this time.
